Ryder Lake Community Nursery

The Ryder Lake Community Nursery (formerly the Valley Permaculture (VPG) Nursery) is located at 47644 Forester Rd.

The nursery relies on donations of plants, shrubs and trees, and usually obtains various leftovers from local plant sales.  These include plants such as hostas, phlox, irises, daylilies and Shasta daisies, plus succulents and often vegetables such as tomatoes.  There are always masses of raspberries and usually other berry plants.

Plants are for sale by donation with proceeds going the Ryder Lake FI Bursary Fund.  It offers a great opportunity to fill bare spaces in your yard!   The nursery is usually open most afternoons in the spring and summer, but please contact Peter Whitlock at 604-799-5000 or whitlock@one-name.org to arrange a time to visit.

The nursery is entirely volunteer run and always needs helpers, especially in the spring!  It is a venue on the Ryder Lake Ramble every year so there is always a push to get it organized by that date.
