Ryder Lake Women's Institute
History
The Ryder Lake Women's Institute (RLWI) is a member branch of the BC Women's Institute and was incorporated as a society in 1934.
Women’s Institutes are active across Canada and throughout the world, originating in Ontario in 1897. All BC members are also part of the National and International organizations.

For our 90th Anniversary in 2025, the RLWI is digitizing some of our historical documents.

Our two scrapbooks created by members Marion Webster and Ariel Eastman have been digitized and are available as either PDF's with a Bookmarks tab listing the date and topic, and as a flipbook. The typewritten text in the PDF's is searchable using your PDF reader - usually by pressing Ctrl+F, or if opening in the browser under the 3 dots and More Actions menu.
